The Atelier
Each garment begins with a painting. An inspiration. Forms, tensions and movements are taken apart, reconsidered and translated into fabric. What once was discarded is reconstructed into vibrant pieces - made new, yet rooted in their origin.
Sourcing
Secondhand garments and deadstock fabrics are selected for what they offer.
Making
Each garment is sewn slowly and with attention to detail.
Deconstruction
Pieces are taken apart carefully and sorted so everthing can find a new purpose.
Completion
When the fabric ends, it ends. Scraps will be gathered and used to create a "print".
Shaping
A game of shaping and reshaping takes place between the fabric and the pattern.
Why Pieces Are Limited
We do not work from endless rolls of fabric.

Each piece is shaped by what we have or/and by what remains - and that determines how many can exist.

When the material is gone, the garment is not repeated. The pattern stays, but the garment won't exist the same way anymore.

Care, Repair & Relationship
A Bondine garment is not disposable.

It is meant to be worn, cared for and repaired when needed.

Wear marks are part of the story, imperfection is beauty.
