Hi, I'm Donna
an artist turned designer with a soft sport for forgotten fabrics and bold ideas. I started Maison Bondine to merge two worlds I love: painting and conscious fashion. What began as a quiet studio experiment is now a growing collection of art you can wear.
From repairing my favorite clothes as a young girl to studying fashion design on Academic level, I've always been drawn to the beauty of making things with meaning.
I was raised in the French countryside by holistic beekeepers and pursued an academic path in arts and art history, which build the foundations to the vision behind Maison Bondine.
Along the way I explored makeup artistry, photography,
(...had kids!), drawing and painting - creating a world where fashion meets fine art.
But the turning point came when I realized how much the fashion industry discards - season after season, item after item. I knew I wanted to be part of the change.
The Name, The Story
Maison Bondine is more than a fashion label - it's a philosophy.

"Maison", French for "home", evokes warmth, belonging and authenticity. It speaks to the soul of the brand - a place where you can fully be yourself. It nods to the elegance and tradition of haute couture fashion houses, while redefining what a maison means today: not just a space, but a state of being.

"Bondine" is rooted in the word bond - a deep connection. It reflects our commitment to:

The Process
Each collection starts with a painting
That tells a story and inspires the designs. From that artwork, couture pieces arise, one-of-a-kind garments that are the heart and birthing of the story: a ready-to-wear capsule collection.
Everything is made from second-hand clothes, deadstock or discarded fabrics. Even scraps become part of the story, transformed into fillings or accessories.
No mass production. No waste. Just thoughtful design, poetic detail and a bit of a playful rebellion against fast fashion.
